Updated September 2026. This guide was first published in July 2025. For 2026 we re-checked every company on the list, removed services that no longer exist or have moved away from advertising, and added the agencies brands are actually hiring for paid social today.
Social video is where video advertising is growing fastest. The IAB projects that US digital video ad spend will surpass $80 billion in 2026, and for the first time social video (+13%) is growing faster than connected TV (+11%). At the same time, 63% of video marketers say they have already used AI video tools (Wyzowl, 2026). The bar for scroll-stopping creative keeps rising, while production timelines keep shrinking.
Choosing the right production partner is harder than it looks. Some "agencies" are really software, some specialize in UGC, and others in cinematic brand work or performance testing. Below we break down the top 10 options for 2026, what each one does best, and how to pick the right fit for your brand.
Full disclosure: this is the 351 Studio blog, so we put ourselves first. Every other entry is based on each company's own public information, checked in September 2026.

1. 351 Studio: AI-powered cinematic video ads

351 Studio is an AI video production studio that combines more than a decade of creative experience with generative AI. The team has delivered over 4,200 projects and 12,000+ minutes of video, working with music labels such as Sony Music, Warner Music Group and Atlantic Records as well as brands that need premium content at social media speed.
What sets 351 Studio apart is its hybrid workflow. Experienced directors, editors and storytellers lead the creative, while AI accelerates concepting, visual development and versioning. The result is cinematic, on-brand ads that are delivered faster than traditional shoots and cut natively for every platform.
- Best for: brands that want high-end, story-driven ads without traditional production budgets and timelines
- Services: social media video ads, short-form video, AI video production, brand films and music visuals
- Platforms: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Amazon and X

2. Superside: AI-native creative subscription for enterprise teams
Superside describes itself as a "human-led, AI-native creative partner". Instead of billing per project, it works on annual subscriptions that give in-house marketing teams on-demand access to designers, motion designers and video editors. Superside says it runs 50+ AI workflows and has delivered more than 12,000 AI-powered projects with a team of 800+ people in over 70 countries.
- Best for: large marketing teams that need a steady, high volume of ad creative across many channels
- Keep in mind: plans are annual and priced for enterprise budgets
3. TubeScience: pay-for-performance paid social ads
TubeScience focuses entirely on performance creative for paid social, with an unusual model: the company says ads that miss cost you nothing. It produces around 8,000 videos a month from a 100,000 sq ft studio in Los Angeles and positions itself as a leader in Meta Partnership Ads.
- Best for: direct-to-consumer and app brands that live and die by CPA and ROAS
- Keep in mind: the model is built for high-volume testing rather than one-off brand films
4. Lemonlight: managed video production at scale
Lemonlight is a managed production company with a large distributed crew network. It reports 50,000+ videos produced for 4,500+ clients, with 2,000+ crew members across 80+ cities. Its Lemonlight Platform uses AI to streamline planning and production, which the company says has made production more than 40% faster.
- Best for: brands that need live-action shoots in many locations, handled end to end
- Keep in mind: its strength is consistency and scale rather than experimental, AI-generated visuals
5. Vidico: subscription short-form video for B2B brands
Vidico produces short-form social ads for TikTok, Reels, Shorts and LinkedIn on a subscription model. Its pitch is efficiency: one shoot becomes 40+ assets. The agency says it has worked with more than 920 brands, with a strong focus on SaaS and B2B.
- Best for: B2B and tech companies that need a steady stream of LinkedIn and short-form content
- Keep in mind: the style leans toward product and explainer content
6. Viral Nation: creator-led and influencer campaigns
Viral Nation combines influencer marketing, social content and paid social. It says its creators generated more than 85 billion views in 2025, and it builds its own tools such as SocialAI and CreatorOS.
- Best for: brands whose ads should look and feel like creator content
- Keep in mind: better suited to talent-driven campaigns than to cinematic or animated ads
7. Insense: UGC and creator ads marketplace
Insense connects brands with creators who make UGC-style video ads, with managed-service options on top. It is a Meta Business Partner and TikTok Marketing Partner, offers access to 100,000+ creators in 35+ countries, and says content is typically delivered within 14 days.
- Best for: e-commerce brands that need many authentic creator videos for testing
- Keep in mind: you get creator-style content, not polished brand production
8. Billo: accessible UGC video ads
Billo is a UGC video platform with an optional managed service. The company says more than 22,000 brands have used it and that it works with 5,000+ creators, making it one of the easiest ways for smaller brands to start testing creator-style ads.
- Best for: small and mid-sized e-commerce brands getting started with UGC ads
- Keep in mind: creative direction and strategy are largely up to you
AI platforms for in-house teams
Not every brand needs an agency. If you already have an in-house editor or creative team, these AI platforms can take over part of the production work.
9. Runway: generative AI video for creative teams
Runway is one of the leading generative AI video platforms. Its Gen-4.5 model, released in December 2025, added native audio and minute-long multi-shot video, and in 2026 the company launched the Aleph 2.0 editing model and Runway Agent. Runway raised $315 million at a $5.3 billion valuation in February 2026.
- Best for: in-house creative teams and agencies experimenting with AI-generated visuals
- Keep in mind: it's a tool, not a service, so results depend on the skill of the person using it
10. QuickFrame AI (by MNTN): AI ad generator for social and CTV
QuickFrame started as a creator-network production service and was acquired by MNTN at the end of 2021. Today it is marketed as QuickFrame AI, a self-serve AI video ad generator. Version 3.0 launched in May 2026 and can publish directly to MNTN, TikTok, Meta and Google. Plans are credit-based and start at $39 per month.
- Best for: small teams that need quick, template-driven ad variations
- Keep in mind: it favors speed over craft, so expect functional ads rather than distinctive brand storytelling
What changed since the 2025 list?
The AI video market moved fast over the past year, so several names from our original list no longer belong on it:
- Hour One was acquired by Wix in May 2025, and the standalone product is no longer available.
- Elai.io is now part of Panopto and focuses on training and learning videos.
- Synthesia and Colossyan remain strong AI avatar platforms, but both now focus on workplace training and internal communication rather than social media advertising.
- Waymark has shifted toward AI ad creation for local TV and media sales teams.
The bigger trend is that the line between "agency" and "software" has blurred. Most serious agencies now use AI in production, and most AI tools promise agency-level output. The deciding factor is no longer whether a partner uses AI, but who owns the creative idea and the final result.

Agency vs. AI tool: which do you need?
- Choose an AI tool if you have in-house creative talent, need lots of simple variations, and are comfortable owning scripts, editing and quality control.
- Choose a UGC platform if your ads perform best when they look native and creator-made, and you need volume for testing.
- Choose a full-service or AI-powered agency if you need a strong concept, a consistent brand look and ads that stand out, without building a production team yourself.
Many brands combine all three: a studio creates the hero concept and core assets, then UGC and AI tools extend it into dozens of test variations.
How to choose the right video ad production agency in 2026
- Start with the goal. Awareness, conversions, app installs and B2B lead generation each call for different creative and a different kind of partner.
- Look at work in your category. Ask for examples on the platforms you actually advertise on. A great YouTube brand film doesn't prove TikTok performance.
- Ask how they use AI. Find out where AI speeds things up (concepting, versioning, localization) and where humans stay in control (story, direction, final quality).
- Check speed and volume. Paid social needs fresh creative often. Ask how many variations and cut-downs are included and how quickly they are delivered.
- Clarify rights and usage. Especially with creators and AI-generated assets, confirm who owns the footage and where it can be used.
- Get transparent pricing. Compare per-project, subscription and performance-based models against how often you need new ads.
