Project Spotlight November & December ’19

The end of the year is usually a time when we take a look at what we have done in the past 365 days, evoking the great memories, the big wins, and the falls that gave us lessons in becoming better. Briefly, 2019 was a phenomenal year for all of us here at 351 Studio, with almost 300 videos produced, and some great names such as Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Lizzo, Tones and I, Rob Thomas, Zayn… on the list. To be repetitive is boring and unfamiliar to us, so instead of creating a chart of top videos we did in 2019, we’ll show you how we ended this year in style, presenting you our top 5 videos of November and December.

1.Pink Sweat$ & Donny Hathaway – This Christmas

Two days after Christmas it’s quite normal to open the list with a Christmas song. As the main role in this video, the Pink Sweat$’ teddy bear brings back the Christmas spirit everywhere. Taking into consideration the fact that Christmas is time for being together with the ones you love the most, our intention with this video was to emphasize the emotions of happiness, love, hope, expectation, that we felt waiting for Christmas to come.

2.One More Try – Jessie J

Jessie J is a bloody legend, so, besides the strict directions, we felt special when we took this project. This song is a part of the new album released by the smash-hit new musical & Juliet. That being said, we kept close to the original style and concept, so the result was simple, but elegant video that perfectly matches the vibe of the song and the whole & Juliet project.

3.Runaway – Hayley Kiyoko

At first sight, this is just another lyric video that helps the viewers learn the words, but Hayley Kiyoko’s video for Runaway is much more than that. Actually, the lyrics are a key visual element in this video, while the different fonts make this video look stylish and unique.

4.Steve James – Still ain’t you ft. Nea

Another great combo of stock images and animated shapes that makes this video look stunning. The intensive red tones implemented on the stock images is the eye-catcher, of course along with the text animation that makes the lyrics readable.

5.SLVR – In The Place

Frankly speaking, we were on a very tight deadline on this video, but anyway, we succeeded to build a great story in just two days. The story-line starts from the dark inner world of one child, showing his fears, sadness, and loneliness, and as the song goes, shows the rising to the light of sanity. The video got some great comments so its place on this list is well deserved.
